Social Impact Hackathon

The Social Impact Hackathon will take place from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 September 2023 on the historic farm in Holzhausen 1, 84144 Geisenhausen in Lower Bavaria (1hr from Munich). The event is part of the largest Europe-wide social startup program SOCIALTECH4EU that comprises 100 social start ups and social enterprises from across Europe (more information on SocialTech4EU here.
The Social Impact Hackathon is a cross innovation event based on the „Design Thinking“ method. Designers, creatives and social enterprises work together in an interdisciplinary way to shape and stabilize social innovation ideas over a short period of time in a joint design process. Only the selected 100 social start ups and social enterprises from the Call for Training within the SocialTech4EU project are eligible to participate in the Social Impact Hackathon as teams.
On Saturday 23 September, voluntary sparring partners (designers, creatives, tech and business experts) will join the social start ups and social enterprises and form mixed innovation teams with them to co-create innovation project ideas. The Social Impact Hackathon will take place in a hybrid manner, so individuals and teams can also join online.

After Breakfast all participating teams will pitch their business in 3 minutes in front of sparring partners

During Lunch the Social enterprises will match with sparring partners and form mixed innovation teams

„Research“ workshop with physical or online research Following: „Insight“-phase with deepening the understanding of the user groups, understanding the innovation topic in all facets. Incl. Living labs.

After Breakfast start of the Ideation phase and the drafting of concrete solutions
